A woman is facing drunk driving charges after allegedly crashing into two vehicles, including a snowplow truck, and then rolling her car while attempting to flee. The Saratoga County wreck happened at around 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23 in the town of Milton. Sheriff’s officials said Nicole Deyo, age 41, was driving westbound on Galway Road when she ran a stop sign at Middle Line Road and struck another car already in the intersection. Woman Breaks Into Capital Region Home, Attacks Resident, Police Say
A 34-year-old woman is facing multiple charges after allegedly breaking into a home in the region and assaulting a resident. The Saratoga County incident happened Wednesday, Jan. 17, at a residence in the town of Halfmoon. Deputies were called shortly before 7 p.m. for a burglary in progress. By the time they arrived, the suspect had fled. A prolific burglar who targeted nearly a dozen businesses in the region was caught with the help of a drone, police said. Albany County resident Jesse Stockman, age 37, of Colonie, was arrested Friday, Jan. 12, in connection with several break-ins at businesses in Colonie. Colonie Police were called at around 10 p.m. for a report of a commercial burglary in progress near Troy-Schenectady and Old Loudon roads. The culprit fled before officers arrived. Funeral details and a statement from the family have been released after five women returning from Umrah in Mecca, Saudi Arabia were killed on Interstate 81 on Tuesday evening, Jan. 16. The women "were on their way back home from the Dulles airport," their family told Daily Voice. They were struck dead by a tractor-trailer at the 199.3-mile marker in Scott Township, approximately 12 miles north of Scranton, troopers detailed in a release. Police are asking for tips after two people opened fire on a car in the region, causing the vehicle to crash into a house. The incident happened at around 9:45 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, in Schenectady, near Eastern and Elmer avenues. A 42-year-old man was killed during a crash between two tractor-trailers in the Hudson Valley.
