DC Firefighter Killed In Early Morning Charles County Shooting: Officials
Officials have confirmed that a veteran DC firefighter and father was killed in an early morning shooting in Charles County. Members of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office were called shortly before 3:30 a.m. on Monday, May 8, to Sedgemore Place in Bryan’s Road, where they found an eight-year veteran of the DC Fire Department suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Firefighter/EMT Carl Braxton, 30, was rushed to an area hospital with critical injuries following the shooting, where he was later pronounced dead from the gunshot wounds, according to officials.
