One Hospitalized After Crashing Vehicle Into Centreville Home
One person had to be extricated from a vehicle after it came crashing through a home in Fairfax County on Tuesday afternoon. First responders were called to the 14900 block of Carlbern Drive in Centreville on Jan. 30 when a driver accidentally smashed through the front of an area residence. According to a Fairfax County Fire/Rescue spokesperson, crews had to extricate one person who wound up trapped in the vehicle, and they were taken to an area hospital for treatment and evaluation of undisclosed injuries. One person was flown to the hospital in a tractor trailer crash Tuesday morning, Jan. 30 on I-66 in Prince William County, authorities said. The crash involving a Jeep Cherokee and tractor trailer happened on the westbound side around 7:45 a.m., Virginia State Police said. The Virginia DOT site reported nearly 2.6 miles of delays in the westbound lanes following the crash in Sudley near mile post 49. The west right center lane, right lane, and right shoulder were closed. Traffic delays in the eastbound lanes are approximately 4 miles.

A 55-year-old man who was a passenger on his friend's scooter when it crashed on the 14th Street Bridge in DC has died at an area hospital, the Metropolitan Police Department announced.
