Wokworks is expanding with a new restaurant on the Jersey Shore in Margate, the company said in a news release. The shop opens at 8 a.m. with a countdown beginning at 7:45 a.m. Free T-shirts are available for the first 100 customers.  As well, police officers and firefighters will face off in Wawa's signature "Hoagies for Heroes" competition, where first responders compete to build the most hoagies in a three-minute lightning round.  A ribbon cutting is scheduled for 8:30 a.m.

Motorcyclist Killed In Route 1 Crash, 2nd Fatal In Same Day In South Brunswick Two people were killed in separate crashes in South Brunswick including a motorist from South River and a motorcyclist from Pennsylvania, authorities said. At 5:56 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, officers were alerted to a single-car crash on Route 535.  The preliminary investigation shows a Nissan Maxima, operated by a 65-year-old man from South River, left the roadway and struck a utility pole. Animal Cruelty Investigation Launched In Northampton County Police are investigating after a dog was found dead in a cage in Forks Township over the weekend. Officers were called to Frutchey Hill Road and Richmond Road Saturday morning, April 20 for an "animal complaint," Township police said in a release.  A small, brown Yorkie with a green colored bandana was found dead in a cage under a white bedsheet, authorities said.
