City police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and two others injured, including a 10-year-old girl, according to officials. Authorities said gunfire rang out at West Passyunk Avenue and South 61st Street around 8:45 p.m. Thursday night. Police arrived to find a 23-year-old man dead in a white Chevrolet in the intersection. The 10-year-victim suffered a graze wound to her head and was hospitalized in stable condition, PPD said. A fryer fire affected school drop-off in Lancaster on Friday morning, according to the police. Firefighters were called to the fire at the McDonald's located at 575 North Franklin Street in Lancaster at 6:59 a.m. on May 10, Lancaster County Wide Communication detailed. The third and final suspect in a 2023 drive-by shooting was arrested in Philadelphia on Thursday, May 8, US Marshals say. Schuylkill County Man Killed In Berks Crash: Pennsylvania State Police
A Pottsville man has died after a crash in Bethel Township on Tuesday, May 7, state police say. William J. Lecher, 56, was headed north on Route 183 when he lost control near the Appalachian Trail, troopers said in a release. Authorities said his Chevrolet Silverado entered the southbound lane before crossing onto the shoulder, striking a sign, and coming to rest on a grassy embankment. A woman who once made national headlines when she showed up for a job interview with the Hudson County Sheriff's Office only to be busted for nearly a dozen outstanding warrants was arrested for burglarizing a post office she'd been fired from, federal authorities said. Suspect Punched Victim In Face, Fled The Scene In Allentown: Police
State troopers are looking for a suspect in an Allentown assault. Authorities said the pictured man walked by the victim, punched him one time in the face, and walked away. It happened near the Sherwin Williams at 1900 Catasauqua Road on April 27, state police said. The suspect was wearing black pants and a green sweatshirt with white lettering on the front and back. A Philadelphia man was convicted after he pulled a gun on a teen that he was dating at an Atlantic City casino, authorities said. State police are looking for tips in a "suspicious fire" that killed three people in Lynn Township more than 25 years ago. Linda Ann Howland, David Wayne Jones, and their 3-month-old daughter Leah Michelle Jones died when their home caught fire on April 26, 1998, according to PSP.
