Wallkill Police Save Overdose Victim With Narcan At Target WALLKILL, N.Y. – Wallkill Police were able to save a man who appeared to have overdosed in the bathroom in Target on Friday, Nov. 3, officials said. Police Officer Michael Rinaldo responded to an “Emergency Medical Services” call and found the unresponsive 25-year-old unresponsive and showing signs of an overdose.  Rinaldo administered two dose of Narcan and delivered first-aid. Police Officer Laura Gannon administered a third dose before the victim regained consciousness, police said.  The victim was then taken to Orange Regional Medical Center.

Man Charged With Manslaughter For Strangling Newburgh Woman NEWBURGH, N.Y. – A man was arraigned on manslaughter charges on Wednesday in connection with the strangulation death of a Newburgh woman, according to District Attorney David Hoovler. The indictment alleges Kevin Cook, 59, of Chicago strangled a 47-year-old woman to death in his brother's Newburgh home on Oct. 14.  “There is no more important case than one involving the loss of life,” Hoovler said. “I commend the City of Newburgh Police for their investigation of this case. Bail Set For Goshen Farmer Accused Of Starving Horses GOSHEN, N.Y. – A Goshen farmer accused of starving and killing horses on her farm had bail at $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond on Wednesday, according to the Times Herald-Record.  Jeanne Ryan, 51, was arraigned on 10 felony counts of aggravated cruelty to animals and 10 misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty after authorities found 10 horses starved to death at her farm and another on the verge of death, the Record said.  Chief Assistant District Attorney Christopher Borek said any deal offered by the county would involve some kind of incarceration, the Record reported.  Click here to read the T…
