Man Faces Drug Charges Following Newburgh Traffic Stop NEWBURGH, N.Y. – A Brooklyn man is facing drug charges after State Police found the illegal stimulant KHAT in his vehicle during a traffic stop in Newburgh, authorities said.  Troopers pulled Kaid M. Addailam, 30, over on Interstate 87 on Wednesday night just after 9 p.m. for a moving violation. A subsequent search turned up roughly 77 grams of KHAT or  cathinone, state police said.  Addailam was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and was taken to Orange County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail. Addailam is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 19.

Walden Man Charged With Stealing Car From Impound Yard WALDEN, N.Y. – A Walden man is facing burglary charges after stealing a car from an impound yard in New Windsor, authorities said.  Steven M. Brisee allegedly took a 2011 Nissan Altima from the impound yard at P and P Auto. He was charged with third-degree burglary, State Police said.  Brisee was arraigned in the Town of New Windsor Court and remanded to the Orange County Jail on $2000 cash bail.

Sex Offender Charged With Failing To Report Address Change In Middletown MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. – State Police charged a sex offender with failing to report a change of address in Middletown last month, officials said.  Richard Kiefer, 31, is currently classified as a Level 1 sex offender as a result of a previous conviction. He was charged with felony failure to register and verify, state police said.  New York State's Sex Offender Registry Act requires all sex offenders to make proper notifications to the State within ten days of an address change.  Kiefer was taken to Orange County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $25,000 bond.
