Brookfield Police Alert Residents To Wave Of Thefts From Vehicles BROOKFIELD, Conn. -- Brookfield police are alerting the public to a new round of thefts from unlocked vehicles. The thefts have occurred throughout the town over the last few evenings, police said. Police urge residents to take all valuables inside their homes at night and to lock up their vehicles. Ramapo PD Thwarts Potential Damaging Home Fire RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo police extinguished a fire at a residence in the Village of Sloatsburg on Tuesday afternoon, authorities said. Westport Fire Department Conducts Extrication Drills WESTPORT, Conn. -- Members of the Westport Fire Department recently conducted a series of extrication training exercises over the course of several days at Sherwood Island State Park, authorities said.
