UPPER NYACK, N.Y. David Wright continued Pelhams outstanding starting pitching, tossing a two-hitter with nine strikeouts in a 2-0 win over host Nyack on Saturday in a Section 1 baseball game.
Wright improved to 3-2 on the season and posted his first shutout this season. It was Pelhams fourth in eight wins, and the team earned run average stands at a miniscule 0.66.
The opposition is batting a paltry .127 against Anthony Senerchia, Gjon Ljucovic and Wright. In 74 innings, the trio has accumulated 76 strikeouts.?
Spike Manning scored on a Dylan Tuttle single in the third inning and Manning singled home Senerchia in the fourth.?Senerchia and Manning each had two hits.
