Coaches Mark Finegan, Maribeth Albin and Elizabeth Milan attended the July 13-16 camp with 29 student athletes. Coach Finegan noted that 11 Pelham players graduated from last year's team, and Olivia Johnson will be the only senior on this year's team.

“With eight sophomores, eight juniors, and one senior, this is the youngest team I have ever fielded," he said. "I have really high expectations for a great season."

He said returning players Sydney Shotkoski and Charlotte Krause should work well with Johnson, along with newcomer Norah Tahbaz.

"This season promises to be an exciting one," Finegan said.

One of the highlights for this coming season is the Pelham Booster Club Tournament Oct. 15 in the middle and high school gyms. This year’s tournament also serves as a fundraiser for the Sideout Foundation for breast cancer research.
