EASTCHESTER, N.Y. Pelham softball felt like it let one get away when it lost a game earlier to Eastchester.
Pelham would not allow that to happen in the second game as the Pelicans scored four runs in the second inning of a 7-3 win in a Section 1 softball game Thursday.
"We were much more aggressive on offense and much more composed on defense this time," Pelham coach Keith Maley said.
Ellen Gardon opened the second inning with a home run to center field. Samantha Wright added a run-scoring single on a two-strike count.
Kelly Keith allowed one earned run on three hits and struck out two. She also had a hit and an RBI, as did Meghan McDonough. Meghan Reynolds drove in two runs.
