PELHAM, N.Y. The Pelham Little League 11-under team had to wait a few more hours to decide its fate in the sectional Williamsport Tournament.
Pelham was down, 3-1, to LaGrange in the third inning Monday night at Cesca Field in West Nyack when rain forced officials to postpone the game until 7 p.m. Tuesday. Pelham will be eliminated from the tournament if they lose Tuesday.
Pelhams starting pitcher, Michael Labriola, gave up three runs in the first inning. Kevin Coleman then moved from catcher to pitcher in the second inning and shut down LaGrange. Pelham consistently put runners on base but only scratched across one run on a Nick Milanese sacrifice fly.
