On April 7, I hosted a meeting which included the three municipalities in Pelham and the Board of Education. The purpose of the meeting was to establish strong collaboration designed to improve traffic conditions around our schools.

Pedestrian safety is an important issue and the best outcome for all is always reached through collaboration among the villages, the town, and the school district. In addition to the role played by each municipality, you as parents, are also essential partners.

By following drop-off and pick-up procedures and obeying traffic laws, we are all working together to better ensure the safety of the children we share. Please take a moment to read a memo from the Council of Governing Boards by clicking this link which contains more specifics regarding the traffic calming measures discussed at the meeting.
