Pelham Parents And Students Can Learn Technology Together

PELHAM, N.Y. -- Parents and students in Pelham schools will be able to connect like never before starting Wednesday.

The Pelham Schools Technology Department is presenting six interactive sessions beginning Wednesday evening that will give parents and students a chance to learn about the technology tools available to families in Pelham Schools, according to a press release. Director of Technology Michael Tromblee is heading the one-hour sessions on tools such as "parent portals and eChalk class pages as well as applications utilized in the classroom," according to the release.

Students are invited to join their parents in four of the six sessions. The schedule of the sessions is listed below, courtesy Pelham Schools: 

Parents Only ⇒ 6-12 Parents: The Parent Portal and Infinite Campus October 2: 6 to 7 pm, Alumni Hall Learn how the parent portal with its information such as your children’s attendance, tardiness and grades can help you support their academic progress. ⇒ K-12 Parents: eChalk October 9: 6 to 7 pm, Alumni Hall Explore how eChalk can connect you to your child’s classroom, courses and school. Parents and Students Welcomed ⇒ K-5 Parents and Students: Technology Tools for the Elementary Student October 22, 6 to 7 pm, Alumni Hall Explore the tech tools and applications that your children use in the classroom. ⇒ 6-12 Parents and Students: Technology Tools for the Secondary Student October 29, 6 to 7 pm, Alumni Hall Explore the tech tools and applications that your children use in their courses. ⇒ K-12 Parents and Students: Internet Safety November 7, 6 to 7 pm, Alumni Hall Examine issues related to keeping all members of your family safe when utilizing technology. ⇒ K-12 Parents and Students: Open Forum November 13, 6 to 7 pm, Alumni Hall Director of Technology Michael Tromblee will address questions related to instructional technology.
