PELHAM, N.Y. The Pelham Board of Education is inviting the community "to honor and say goodbye to retiring district staff members, before its Monday meeting, said district public information officer Angela Cox.
The retirees are Elaine Barnabei, Kiki Burpee, Felice Cipriano, Jeryl Delco, Joseph DelVecchio, Joseph Longobardi, Leslie Lowery, James Urban, and Lorraine Woodley. The event will take place at 7:30 p.m. and will also include fellow retirees Board President Robert Eicher and member Douglas Hearle.
The agenda also will include a presentation by members of the Rutgers University team evaluating the math program, K-12 of the Pelham schools, Cox said. The evaluation has included surveys and interviews with teachers, parents, students, administrators, and board members as well as class visits and review of other data and program evidence.
