PELHAM, N.Y. A Fifth Avenue home was burglarized between Monday and Wednesday night. The homeowner told the Pelham police that several tools from his basement workshop were missing.
The homeowner was last in the workshop on Monday. When he returned about 10 p.m. Wednesday, he noticed that several items had been taken. An officer spoke with two witnesses, who said they saw four or five males removing items from the home early Wednesday. They were able to give the officer the name of one suspect.
The following items also were reported by Pelham police:
Locked Out: A Carol Avenue resident called the Pelham Police Department at 6:42 p.m. Wednesday because he locked himself out of his house. The Pelham Fire Department responded with a ladder and assisted the resident.
Difficulty Breathing: Pelham police officers were called to a business on Sparks Avenue for a female having difficulty breathing at 1:50 p.m. Wednesday. She was given oxygen by the officer and complained of chest pain as well. The woman was taken to Lawrence Hospital.
Stolen Bike: A dark green Jamis bicycle was stolen from a Corlies Avenue porch between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning. The victim told a Pelham detective that it had a black basket by the handlebars and a rear child seat.
Road Issue: A manhole cover was off in the area of Lincoln and Fifth avenues. The Public Works Department was notified and fixed it.
