Shoplifters Strike Pelham Manor Annie Sez Again

PELHAM MANOR, N.Y. – Annie Sez was targeted by a shoplifter Thursday for the second time in nine days. The thief left the Pelham Parkway store with about a half-dozen watches valued at $500, police said.

The Pelham Manor Police Department received a 911 call Thursday at 4:19 p.m. from an Annie Sez employee stating that a black male stole merchandise and ran out of the store and across the Eastchester Creek Bridge.

All units responded to the scene and searched the area for the suspect, described as being 5-foot-2 and wearing a green shirt, green hat and blue jeans. The search turned up nothing. Two witnesses told police they saw the man grab approximately six watches and then run out of the store onto Boston Post Road, heading on foot to the Bronx.

The store employee lost sight of the man at the Eastchester Creek Bridge. A customer told the employee that someone in a passing green Honda yelled to the suspect “to keep running,” police said. Police do not know if the person in the Honda was involved in the crime.

On June 9, Michael Kors bags worth $1,800 were shoplifted from the store.
