Police: Garbage Truck Damages Curb at Pelham Home

PELHAM, N.Y. – A garbage truck from AAA Carting, which was too large for a Pelham resident's narrow driveway, damaged his cement curb while picking up his garbage at 7:37 a.m. Monday, police said.

The resident told police he had spoken to the village and AAA Carting about “garbage trucks not fitting down the driveway for pickup.”

In other Pelham police news:

• A Sparks Avenue woman “hit her head on a marble table” at 3:01 p.m. Tuesday and was “feeling dizzy and started vomiting,” a police report said. The Pelham Police Department, Pelham Fire Department, paramedics and an ambulance were dispatched. She was transported to Sound Shore Medical Center by ambulance.

• After an accident on Lincoln Avenue in New Rochelle at 6:44 a.m. Tuesday, New Rochelle police alerted Pelham police that a vehicle involved was heading into Pelham. Pelham units were advised to look out for a 2005 Mercury Mountaineer. Officers canvassed the area but did not find the SUV.
