Pelham Police: Resident's $500 Bike Stolen

PELHAM, N.Y. – A Fifth Avenue resident's $500 Aggressor Mountain Bike was stolen shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday while he was eating at Villagio’s.

The man told Pelham Police the bike had been locked outside the restaurant and he was able to see it as he looked out the window. He told police that he went to throw away garbage and, when he went outside, the bike was gone.

According to the police report, there were no witnesses and a security camera outside the business does not record. The man was told to call the Pelham Police Department if he observed someone with his bike, the report stated.

The case was sent to the detectives.

The Pelham Police Department also reported:

• A driver reported a Pelham youth was throwing fireworks at cars on Lincoln Avenue at 8:04 p.m. Wednesday. Police arrived and took the boy to headquarters, where he was  picked up by his mother, police said.

• A Con Edison wire was down on Lincoln Avenue Wednesday at 5:10 p.m. An officer assisted with the traffic and Con Ed was notified to respond.

• The Pelham Police Department responded to a Seventh Avenue home after a boy was reported missing at 4:46 p.m. Monday. The boy was playing in the backyard and, when his mother told him to come inside, “he fled in an unknown direction,” police said. The responding officer located the missing youth hiding in the backyard.

• A Pelham resident complained of loud noise in front of a Fifth Avenue residence Sunday at 4:14 a.m.
