Eight Westchester Residents Charged With DWI In Thanksgiving Details

New York State Police troopers busted more than two dozen motorists who were allegedly driving while impaired over the Thanksgiving holiday in the area.

The local residents charged were:

Westchester County

  • On Wednesday, Nov. 21, State Police troopers from Somers arrested James G. Donofrio, 51, of North Castle, for DWI. He was traveling on I-684 in North Castle, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Friday, Nov. 23, State Police troopers from Stormville arrested Markis A. Rey, 26, of Peekskill, for DWI, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, a felony, Obstruction of Governmental Administration, and Resisting Arrest, both misdemeanors. He was traveling on Fishkill Avenue in Beacon, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Nov. 24, State Police troopers from Somers arrested Dennis G. Enriquez, 36, of Somers, for Aggravated DWI Leandra’s Law. He was traveling on Route 35 in Somers, when he was stopped during a fixed sobriety traffic safety checkpoint. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol with a child under 13-years-old in the vehicle, and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Nov. 24, State Police troopers from Cortlandt arrested Robert A. Goetz, 50, of North Salem, for DWI. He was traveling on Route 35 in Somers, when he was stopped during a fixed sobriety traffic safety checkpoint. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Nov. 24, State Police troopers from Brewster arrested Samantha A. Cavaliero, 25, of North Salem, for DWI. He was traveling on I-84 in Southeast, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018, State Police troopers from Cortlandt arrested Ryan W. Siss, 32, of North Castle, for DWI. He was traveling on Route 9 in Peekskill, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Nov. 24, State Police troopers from Wappinger arrested Thomas D. Poole, 22, of Mount Pleasant, for DWI. He was traveling on Route 52 in Fishkill, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Nov. 25, State Police troopers from Cortlandt arrested Kristina Edwards, 28, of Peekskill, for DWI. She was traveling on Route 9 in Cortlandt, when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.

Putnam County

  • On Saturday, Nov. 24, State Police troopers from Dover Plains arrested David W. Forschner, 50, of Southeast, for DWI. He was traveling on Route 22 in Dover, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Nov. 24, State Police troopers from Somers arrested Norberto Batista, 43, of Brewster, for Aggravated DWI. He was traveling on I-684 in Southeast, when he was involved in a two-car motor vehicle crash. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Nov. 25, State Police troopers from Brewster arrested Domingo A. Francisco, 52, of Carmel, for DWI. He was traveling on Route 52 in Carmel, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Nov. 25, State Police troopers from Wappinger arrested John Richards, 66, of Kent, for DWAI Drugs, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Obstruction of Governmental Administration, and Resisting arrest, all misdemeanors. He was traveling on Route 52 in Fishkill, when he was stopped for due to a request to check on his welfare after he consumed an unknown amount of medication. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by drugs, then provided medical treatment, and later arrested.
  • On Sunday, Nov. 25, State Police troopers from Dover Plains arrested David W. Forschner, 50, of Southeast, for DWI. He was traveling on Route 22 in Dover, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.

Dutchess County

  • On Wednesday, Nov. 21, State Police troopers from Rhinebeck arrested Karen A. Athanas, 53, of Hyde Park, for Aggravated DWI. She was traveling on Hollow Road in Clinton, when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol, and she was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Nov. 24, State Police troopers from Livingston arrested Jeremy Seigle, 34, of Rhinebeck, for Aggravated DWI with a previous conviction within ten years. He was traveling on Pell Road in Rhinebeck, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Nov. 24, State Police troopers from Wappinger arrested Heriberto Canals, 37, of Wappinger, for DWI. He was traveling on Old Hopewell Road in Wappinger, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Nov. 25, State Police troopers from Lagrangeville arrested Carlos M. Aguilar Breton, 28, of Poughkeepsie, for DWI. He was traveling on Route 55 in Lagrange, when he was involved in a two-car motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.

Fairfield County

  • On Wednesday, Nov. 21, State Police troopers from Cortlandt arrested Nazarii Sorokolit, 29, of Stamford, for DWI. He was traveling on Putnam Avenue in Port Chester, when he was stopped during a fixed sobriety safety checkpoint. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Thursday, Nov. 22, State Police troopers from Dover Plains arrested Katelyn A. Rubin, 26, of Danbury, for DWI. She was traveling on Route 6 in Southeast, when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol, and she was subsequently arrested.
  • On Thursday, Nov. 22, State Police troopers from Somers arrested Juan D. Lopez, 42, of Bethel, for DWI. He was traveling on I-684 in North Castle, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Nov. 24, State Police troopers from Cortlandt arrested Yolanda R. Rodriguez, 40, of Shelton, for DWI. She was traveling on Route 9 in Croton-On-Hudson, when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol, and she was subsequently arrested.
