The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 51-year-old Howard Reid, who has reported a move from Albany to a residence on Cooley Place in Mount Vernon.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Reid as a Level 2 threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Reid had sexual contact with a 12-year-old girl in Utica in February 2011. He was convicted of second-degree sexual contact with a minor under the age of 14 in January 2012 and sentenced to a term of 12 months in jail.
