PELHAM MANOR, N.Y. New traffic lights and pedestrian signals will be up and running at the intersection of Boston Post Road and Pelhamdale Avenue in the coming months.Workers from Verde Electric Corporation jackhammered and dug into the street last week as part of the construction project. Foreman Dave Marcojohn said the work should take a few months.In addition to the traffic lights and pedestrian signals, workers will also install a handicap ramp and paint new crosswalk striping.Marcojohn said the project will be completed in phases. The crew planned to lay a foundation last Wednesday and must wait several weeks before conditions will be right for the next phase to begin. The existing lights will also be taken down in favor of new ones.Pelham Manor police directed traffic at the intersection as drivers maneuvered around orange cones.
