McGuiness Tavern Becoming New Pelham Restaurant

PELHAM, N.Y. – The former site of the McGuiness Tavern on Fifth Avenue will soon be transformed into Pelham's latest restaurant in known as The Village.New York City resident Trevor Goulbourne decided to open a casual American restaurant with a bit of Caribbean infusion. He chose Pelham as the location, he said, because of its potential."I think it's a viable area," Goulbourne said. "Like anything else, it's a challenge."He highlighted the village's proximity to New York City and the high traffic on Fifth Avenue as positives for a new business. Goulbourne hopes to open the restaurant by Oct. 15 but must first deal with all logistics and permits. He already owns a bar in the Bronx, so he is not new to the hospitality industry.Goulbourne needs bartenders, waiters and kitchen help to staff his restaurant and is currently accepting applications.
