PELHAM, N.Y. Rockwells American Restaurant will host the fourth and final Pelham Board of Education candidates forum Wednesday at 7 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Siwanoy Elementary School PTA.
The four candidates in the May 15 election are Paul Prencis, Michael Recca, Christine Rosskopf and Madeline Smith. They have taken part in three other debates, including ones on April 26 and May 2 sponsored by Pelhams League of Women Voters and the Pelham Memorial High School and Middle School PTAs respectively.
During those debates, the candidates expressed their views on issues ranging from the search for a new superintendent and the 2012-2013 budget to the Pelham Memorial guidance department and how they would improve the school district.
The Board of Education elections will take place from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. May 15 along with the vote on the 2012-13 school year budget. Voting will be in the Pelham Memorial gymnasium.
The four candidates are running for two seats. Board President Robert Eicher and member Doug Hearle are not seeking re-election. Smith, Prencis, Rosskopf and Recca are seeking seats on the school board for the first time.
