Eastchester resident Gabriella Ricciardi, 19, a student at Marist College, produced a video showcasing her and her friends handing out dollar bills to unsuspecting strangers around Poughkeepsie in acts of random kindness.

The entire video was shot on Ricciardi’s iPhone, with a total budget of just $23. The video was shot and edited together in less than 24 hours, she said.

Since it was posted earlier this month, the video has garnered nearly 50,000 views on Facebook alone. Ricciardi said that the video was inspired by Drake’s music video for “God’s Plan,” which is featured in the video. In the original video, the artist gives away a million dollars.

The video can be seen on Facebook here.

“The whole experience was amazing. My friends and I had a great time meeting and talking to these complete strangers,” Ricciardi said. “It’s always a great feeling knowing you made someone smile or laugh. To spread love, smiles, laughs, and kindness in such a modern way that reaches audiences of all ages was truly amazing to see.

“This made my friends and I realize even more that it’s the little things in life that mean the most.”
