Operating as director and producer, Julia Wrona made the documentary “The Long Bike Back” about the recovery of her husband, Pearson Constantino, a bicyclist who was severely injured in a hit-and-run accident on Central Avenue in Greenburgh in 2006.  The film follows him as he succeeds in achieving his dream of cycling across America two years later.

Much of Constantino’s recovery was filmed at Symmetry Physical Therapy in Pelham.

“The Long Bike Back” has been fully edited but is in need of funds to release it in the theaters and on DVD by summertime.

About 25 percent of the funds needed to release the documentary have been donated so far, with an ultimate goal of $12,000. To donate to help Wrona release her film, visit her page on indiegogo.com.
