PELHAM MANOR, N.Y. Lars E. Jackson, of Pelham Manor, died Feb. 18 while hiking in the Adirondack Mountains with his son and Troop One Pelham. He was 45.
According to Ralph Mirra, scoutmaster of the troop, a first responder was present during the emergency along with a guide, several other fathers and scouts.
Jackson was born in New Rochelle on April 13, 1966 to Gustaf and Inge Jackson. A contractor and builder for over 25 years, Jackson was owner of L. Jackson Builders in Pelham. He was also active in Troop One Pelham Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home in Mamaroneck. The funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help at 10 a.m. on Thursday, followed by interment at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Troop One Pelham, ? The Lars Jackson Memorial Fund.
