Pelham Picture House Holds Special Screening Of Talk Show Host Documentary

PELHAM, N.Y. -- The Pelham Picture House will hold a special screening of the documentary "Évocateur: The Morton Downey, Jr. Movie" followed by a question and answer session with the film's director on Monday at 8 p.m.

The film follows the rise and fall of infamous 80's talk show host Morton Downey, Jr.

"Évocateur" features interviews with Herman Cain, Pat Buchanan, Chris Elliott, Gloria Allred, Sally Jessy Raphael, Alan Dershowitz, Curtis Sliwa, and Richard Bey. Never-before-seen footage reveals Downey’s behind-the-scenes fistfights and foibles.

Jeremy Newberger, one of the film's directors, labels himself a "rabid" and "recovering" fan of Downey, Jr.

Screenings of the film will also be held on Tuesday and 2:30 and 8:30 p.m., and Wednesday and Thursday at 8:30 p.m.
