'Spark the Sound' July Fourth New Rochelle Gala Features Grucci Fireworks

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – This Fourth of July, cap off the holiday evening with a viewing of the grand fireworks display at 9:30 p.m. at New Rochelle’s Spark the Sound extravaganza, produced and sponsored by the famous Grucci family at the New Rochelle waterfront.

Spark the Sound is scheduled rain or shine. Optimum viewing locations are Hudson Park, Five Islands Park and waterfront restaurants. The fireworks display kicks off a month of activities in celebration of July as Parks and Recreation Month with parks and playgrounds ready for play.

Hudson Park Beach is now open full time, and Lincoln Park Pool will open Saturday. 

Every Wednesday night, the Hudson Park Bandshell will come alive with the Emil Paolucci Summer Sounds Concert Series, along with four extra Fridays of music – July 8 and 22 and Aug. 5 and 19.

In the downtown, the Ruby Dee Park at Library Green will host the Downtown Jazz Festival Thursday, July 14 through Sunday, July 17, followed by the BID’s Music on the Green Thursdays, July 21, 28 and Aug. 4 and 11, as well as the weekly Grand Market Saturdays featuring produce, artisanal foods and crafts.

At Twin Lakes Park, enjoy the Friday Down to Earth Farmer’s Market.

Save the dates for the Lighted Boat Parade Saturday at 8:30 p.m. July 30 and the WFAN Boomer & Carton Celebrity Softball Game Thursday, Aug. 18.
