"With total anonymity and respect to the needy recipients, we are able to provide monetary and professional support to individuals and families throughout our community, with many being children... because of the money raised through our Golf Outing," said Joe Nunziata, communications director for the Pelham Civic Association. "One hundred percent of the proceeds go directly back into the community."

The 24th annual Pelham Civic golf outing is June 25th at Pelham Country Club. The proceeds are used to benefit the needy throughout the community, said Pete Potocki, of the association.

Potocki said the group is still seeking sponsors for the event.

"You can still actively support our organization's efforts with donations anywhere from $100 to $3,000 as a sponsor," he said. "Golfers are welcome to play for the fee of $300, which includes a round of golf lunch and dinner. Guests may attend the dinner for $90 and a raffle with great prizes will be held throughout the dinner."

The primary beneficiary of the event is the association's Good Neighbor Program, which provides year-round assistance to less fortunate individuals, families and children in the community.
