Pelham Arts Center Goes Green With Sculpture Workshop

PELHAM, N.Y. -- The Pelham Art Center will "Go Green" with a free sculpture workshop during the Pelham Block Party on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. 

Those who attend the workshop will learn how to make art from discarded materials.

Participants will learn from artist Kristin Rego how to collect discarded materials to create and build a personal sculpture or design a 3-D "painting" with plastics. Rego created the Fugitive Color installation in the Pelham Art Center Courtyard with bottle caps. 

The workshop is open to all ages and cap donations are welcome.
