Power Restored To Pelham Businesses Darkened By Sandy

PELHAM, N.Y. – Businesses on both sides of Fifth Avenue, half of Wolfs Lane and parts of Lincoln Avenue lost power because of Hurricane Sandy, Pelham Chamber of Commerce Vice President Dave Katz said Friday.

Katz, who works at the Depot Market, said that while being in the dark was frustrating, he waited it out.

“What can you do?” he said.

Power has since been restored to these businesses. Consolidated Edison reported 637 customers without power in Pelham and Pelham Manor as of Friday afternoon, with an estimated restoration time of 11 p.m. Sunday.
