Motorists are advised that the planned closure both ways of a stretch of the Hutchinson River Parkway began Friday, March 16 at 11 p.m.

As part of the ongoing bridge replacement projects in Westchester County, the Hutch will be closed until Monday, March 19, at 5 a.m., between Exit 6 (Interstate 95) and Exit 12 (East Lincoln Avenue) while crews perform construction activities.

Signed detours will be in place for both northbound and southbound traffic. Northbound traffic on the Parkway will be detoured at the I-95 interchange. Southbound traffic will be diverted to the Cross County Parkway and the Bronx River Parkway for points south.

All on-ramps to the Hutch south of the construction site (at the East 3rd Street overpass) will be accessible for southbound traffic.

Motorists are advised to follow the posted detours, anticipate delays and plan travel accordingly.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
