Man Busted With Stolen Gun Following DWI Crash In Pelham Manor
A 21-year-old man who was found asleep at the wheel at a Westchester McDonald’s is facing a host of charges after allegedly drinking, driving, fighting with police, crashing, and being busted with a stolen handgun. Officers from the New Rochelle Police Department responded to McDonald’s on Main Street shortly after 4:15 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 13, where there was a complaint of a man asleep at the drive-thru. Pelham Elementary School Evacuated For Gas Smell
A Westchester elementary school had to be temporarily evacuated when the smell of gas was reported in the area. Colonial Elementary School in Pelham was evacuated as a precaution at approximately noon on Friday, Sept. 27, when there was reports of the smell of gas near the building. Members from the Pelham Fire Department, Pelham Police Department and Con Edison all responded to the scene to investigate the gas odor. Police in Pelham are warning area residents to be on the lookout after a suspicious suspect was caught on camera attempting to enter cars parked in a driveway. Investigators released video of the suspect, who was caught on camera overnight on Monday, Sept. 16. In the video, the man in shorts and a backward hat carrying a bag can be seen checking the door handles of two cars before a security light came on and chased him away. Police are warning area residents of a new rash of cars that were broken into after a suspect was apprehended overnight in Westchester. First responders in Pelham helped save a house after an electrical fire broke out on Tuesday afternoon. Members of the Pelham Fire Department received a report at approximately noon from a Third Avenue homeowner, where there was an electrical fire that broke out in the home.
