Pleasantville Stays Unbeaten With Close Win Over Irvington

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- The Pleasantville High boys lacrosse team, fresh off a huge win over two-time sectional champion Bronxville, rallied for a 6-5 victory Friday over Irvington in what was a close game all the way.

Josh Della Puca had a hat trick for 9-0 Pleasantville, and scored the game-winner with 2:47 remaining.

Carson Cerrito, Dillon Marley, Louis Lustenberger, Andrew Brennan and Jake Scarpoli each had a goal for Irvington, which fell to 3-3.

Oscar Marchi made six saves for Pleasantville, while Josh Schultz had 14 saves for Irvington.
