Pelham Student to be Honored at Yankee Stadium

PELHAM, N.Y. – Pelham Memorial High School student Jon Miller and six others will be honored at Yankee Stadium Friday by former Yankee pitcher Ron Guidry as part of the 45th year of the Con Edison Yankees Kids program.

Miller will represent Westchester County at the 5 p.m. ceremony and receive a Con Edison Yankees jacket, an official certificate and other items. Each year, local civic organizations nominate children ages 8 to 16 from each of the five New York City boroughs, Westchester County and Orange/Rockland Counties. Leadership, sportsmanship and academic performance are all factored into the selections.

Miller, a junior, plays on Pelham’s football and basketball teams.
