PELHAM, N.Y. Pelham Youth Rugby donated five balls to two local elementary schools to help promote the sport and it into physical education curricula.
Colonial Elementary School and Hutchinson Elementary School received the balls after Pelham Rugby demonstrated the sport at the schools gym classes. Rugby has slowly been integrated into their classes since those demonstrations.
Elementary flag rugby practices start on April 2. The Pelham Recreation Department has sign-up sheets on its website or on the Pelham Youth Rugby site.
