Pelham Rugby Concludes Fall Season

PELHAM, N.Y. – Pelham Rugby ended its fall season on Sunday when it hosted its main rival, Manhattan.

Pelham’s under-13 team lost to Manhattan, 6-1, in the first game of the day while the under-15 team won, 9-7, even though the Manhattan squad had six players from Xavier High School’s national championship team.

Xavier Worsely, who scored the game-winning try for Pelham in the U15 game, earned Man of the Match honors.

Pelham ended its fall season at 5-1 and will resume games in the spring. Pelham is undefeated in league play the last two seasons.
