PELHAM, N.Y. Director Tom Beck and the Pelham Memorial Sock n Buskin group will present their spring musical All Shook Up 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.
The event will take place in the Pelham Memorial auditorium and it is described as Shakespeare meets James Dean, set to the music of Elvis Presley, according to a press release from Beck.
All Shook Up, which is Becks first musical at Pelham Memorial, is loosely based on Shakespeares comedy Twelfth Night.
The musical centers around a young girl in a struggling small 1955 town with dreams of hitting the road and a charismatic rebel who through the help of rock n roll change their town forever, the press release says.
Famous Presley songs that will be included in the play are Heartbreak Hotel, Jailhouse Rock, Cant Help Falling in Love and Don't Be Cruel.
