Peter Giarrizzo, assistant schools superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction, and Personnel said the district is looking forward to adding new students.
“We're excited to welcome the class of 2026 to the Pelham schools,” he said in an e-mail.
“This is the first step in what we expect to be a long, fruitful process of learning for our youngest students. The principals, teachers, and I look forward to establishing new partnerships with our new families and welcoming back our returning families to an exciting new venture,” he said.
New families with last names A through L whose children will attend Prospect Hill and Siwanoy elementary schools in the fall can register from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday in school district offices, 18 Franklin Place. Those with last names M through Z have their turn from 1 to 3 p.m.
Those with the last names A through L, whose children will attend Colonial and Hutchinson elementary schools can register from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, also in school district offices, 18 Franklin Place. Those with last names M through Z have their turn from 1 to 3 p.m.
Children must be five years old on or before Dec. 31, 2013.
The district suggests families meet with the central office registration clerk, and a school nurse to submit their completed registration forms and other necessary information. Families do not need to bring their child with them. Registration forms received by mail will not be accepted, the district said on its website.
Parents and guardians must register their children in-person and bring their completed registration application forms and copies of original paperwork to the district office.
The district also suggests that families who need to have documents signed do so before their registration date.
