The high school is looking for any local experts who might be able to come in and work with the students after school, according to a news release from the district. The group is also looking for businesses that can provide fabrication services.
"With increasingly large number of students considering careers in science-related fields, we are also hoping to identify alumni who have advanced in their career and can share some of their lessons with these interested students," representatives with the district said in a press release. "Finally, some of our serious 8th-grade young scientists are already beginning independent projects in all fields and we are always looking for experts that would be willing to talk briefly after school to help support these individuals."
Those with time or resources are asked to email Jonathan Gastel, the high school's new science supervisor at jgastel@pelhamschools.org.
