PELHAM, N.Y. -- The Village of Pelham has worked with Pelham Public Schools on ways to improve pedestrian safety in front of Pelham Memorial High School.
Families are encouraged to drop off children at the newly painted "Drop Off Zone" along the north side of Colonial Avenue.
Students should not be dropped off along the south side of Colonial Avenue or on Corlies Avenue near the faculty parking lot.
The Drop Off Zone will be active Tuesday, May 31.
The school area also features additional signs, wider crosswalks and a recently painted grid at the intersection.
