$500 Fines, Towing Enforced As Snow Emergency Extended In Greenburgh

GREENBURGH, N.Y. - As snow continues to fall, Greenburgh officials have extended its snow emergency through Thursday night.

On Thursday, the Greenburgh Police Department announced that the town’s state of snow emergency has been extended through Friday, Feb. 10, restricting parking and travel.

During the snow emergency, parking will be prohibited at all metered spaces on East Hartsdale Avenue and Columbia Avenue. There will be limited parking available for residents overnight at the Webb Field parking lot on North Central Avenue. Police cautioned that anyone who violates that will be ticketed or towed at the owner’s expense.

Police cautioned that anyone in violation of these emergency restrictions will be subjected to a $500 fine and the vehicle may be towed at the owner’s expense.
