The book is a celebration of the 100th issue of the annual "Who’s Who in Baseball," and Lyons prepared the book in partnership with the publication.

His book includes 100 years of the annual's covers, insightful breakdowns of the players featured on those covers, statistics and informative accounts of the baseball history tied to each year’s issue.

The book includes each of the annual's 100 iconic covers in full color along with an account of why the player rated the cover.

From baseball’s dead ball era to the dawn of “replay review,” this collection offers an illustrated history of the game.

Lyons is a criminal lawyer and author. He has spoken about baseball and done research at the Baseball Hall of Fame, the Smithsonian and the Society for Baseball Research.

The discussion will begin at 2 p.m. at the library, 54 Olmstead Road, Scarsdale.

A wine and cheese reception and book signing will follow the program.
