HGTV's Gidding Delivers Keynote At Realtors' Meeting

The Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors recently held its 99th Annual Member Appreciation Day at the DoubleTree Hotel in Tarrytown, featuring keynote speaker John Gidding, host of HGTV’s “Curb Appeal.”

Gidding has also been featured on ABC, NBC, CNN and is a partner in the Atlanta-based design firm of Gidding & Spencer. He has residential and commercial clients around the nation.

Born in Istanbul, Gidding attended American schools in Turkey and Switzerland before entering Yale University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in architecture. He also earned a master’s degree in architecture from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design.

Gidding has enjoyed practicing his love of design with projects around the world, ranging from residential and institutional architecture to landscape and urban design. Some of his favorite projects include the Brooklyn Bridge Park, Union Square in New York, the campus plan for Carnegie Mellon University and a pavilion for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

HGAR’s event was free and drew almost 1,000 Realtors from Westchester, Putnam, Rockland and Orange Counties, as well as the Bronx. The day also featured free classes and a trade show with 75 exhibitors.
