White Plains' Thomas Roach Elected First VP Of Statewide Mayors Group

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. --  White Plains mayor Thomas Roach was elected Vice President of the New York State Conference of Mayors during the organization's annual meeting on Monday.

"At a time when local officials are working cooperatively and innovatively to do even more with less, Mayor Roach’s leadership will be instrumental in NYCOM’s efforts to help our cities and villages provide a high quality of life in the most efficient manner.” Peter A. Baynes, Executive Director of the Conference of Mayors said in a statement. “Our membership will benefit greatly from his experience and vision."

Roach will serve as the vice president for a one-year term.
