Two 24-Year-Olds Face DUI, Drug Charges After I-95 Stop

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – A pair of 24-year-olds are facing drug charges after being arrested by state police on Interstate 95 in New Rochelle following a traffic stop on Friday afternoon, according to LoHud.com.

Willington, Conn., resident Savannah Williams and Ashford, Conn., resident Adam Stetson were arrested on Friday after police pulled them over and found them in possession of drugs, according to the report.

Shortly after 3 p.m., officers stopped Williams, who was driving, and following a brief investigation, found that she was operating the vehicle under the influence of drugs, and that her passenger was reportedly in possession of marijuana, ecstasy, LSD and drug paraphernalia, the report said.

Williams was charged with a misdemeanor count of driving while her ability was impaired. Stetson was arraigned in New Rochelle City Court, where he is facing two felony drug possession charges for the ecstasy and LSD, as well as misdemeanor counts for the marijuana.

Stetson is due back in New Rochelle City Court on Monday.
