New Rochelle Metro-North Bandit Sentenced To 13 Years

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Olivier Famby of New Rochelle, who pleaded guilty to armed robbery, has been sentenced to 13 years in prison, Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore announced Tuesday.

The 21-year-old pleaded guilty to nine counts of robbery, one count of assault in the second-degree, one account of criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth-degree and one account of criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth-degree.

Famby was arrested in New Rochelle in April 2012 and pleaded guilty in May 2013 in the armed robberies near Metro-North Commuter Railroad stations in the towns of New Rochelle, Pelham, Harrison and Mamaroneck.
