PELHAM MANOR, N.Y. Two suspects stole $1,800 worth of Michael Kors handbags from Annie Sez at 875 Pelham Parkway on Saturday, said the Pelham Manor Police Department.
The 911 calls came into the police at 11:25 a.m. Two suspects fled the store in a Chevy Tahoe, the store manager said. Another call came from a witness who was following the car into Mount Vernon, police said.
All units responded south on Pelham Parkway into Mount Vernon, where they met with several Mount Vernon police officers but could not find the Tahoe.
One suspect entered the store, went straight to the back register and took 10 to 12 Michael Kors handbags from a rack located there, the store manager told police. She told the suspect several times to return the handbags to the rack or she would call the police, police said. He then walked out the front door and got into the passenger seat of a car, which was operated by the second suspect.
The suspect in the store was described by the manager as a black male, 6-foot-2 to 6-foot-4, with a heavy build, missing front teeth and wearing a light gray hoodie. The second suspect was described as a black male, but his height and weight were unknown because he was sitting in the drivers seat.
The witness, who followed them, was in his car as the two fled. The two pulled over on Franklin Avenue near Fifth Street in Mount Vernon, he said, but drove on because he was unsure whether they were armed. No weapons were displayed or no threats were made during the incident, police said.
The Pelham Manor police also reported the following incidents:
