Bronx Man Charged In New Rochelle Hit-And-Run

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - A Bronx man was arrested Saturday night after he was accused of leaving the scene after hitting a 13-year-old boy who was walking across the street, New Rochelle Police Department Sgt. Myron Joseph said.

Marcos Garcia, 28, of 3455 Ely Ave., was charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in serious injury, a felony.

Police said Garcia was accused of continuing west toward Pelham and Pelham Manor after the boy, who suffered a broken leg, was struck at the intersection of Huguenot Street and Centre Avenue. Pelham Manor Police stopped the car and New Rochelle Police handled the case.
